Becoming a Member

Membership of Stirling Baptist Church (SBC) is open to all who profess faith in Jesus and own him as Lord in their personal life and witness. For a fuller consideration of this it may be worth reading the document here: Faith-based Membership

As members of a local church we commit to worship regularly, learn in fellowship together, and faithfully serve our community. Members commit to each other before God in an annual Covenant Service. Our Church Covenant is available here:  SBC Church Covenant

SBC has adopted a set of governance documents that have been approved by the charty regulator (OSCR). These are titled 'Articles of Association' and can be viewed here: SBC Articles of Association

If you are called by God to worship and serve in the SBC community of believers then you are invited to apply for membership. In summary: you will be invited to meet with two church members who will then make their recommendation to all members; we have a helpful guide to the conversation to be had with a prospective new member New Member Conversation

After the notice period the new member will then be welcomed into membership during a Sunday service.
